Our bodies are very smart but also very complicated. As bodies compensate, they can mask original issue. The shoulder pain may not be caused by only front and back side muscular imbalance. Your clenching jaw habit or wrong alignments of hip or feet, wrong sitting, walking and standing postures, the exercises which you believe that it helps, or old injuries which you though that it healed may lead to the problem. Internal organs, medications, foods, air, fashion, jewelries, hair style, mind, emotion, mental condition, sleep and so on may be the cause. So, why you focus on only the unpleasant symptoms and discomfort area. Let's think more holistically!
Sage Sato method

The newest Japanese manual therapy, Sage Sato method is available ONLY at Wholistic Body Care in Australia!
It was initially invented by Japanese dentist Sage (Seiji) Sato (佐藤青児) for his patients with TMJ syndrome. But later the techniques were developed to adjust the whole body.
The light pressure of under 5 gram and gentle stimulation release stiff, tight and tense muscles, balances them and helps to adjust the shapes of the body cavities correctly. The relaxed muscles pump interstitial fluid more and enhance the function of micro-circulation. By calming and relaxing the nerve and musculoskeletal systems, it also helps to reduce mental tension.
(Practitioners don't use pressing , kneading and stretching techniques like ordinal massage therapy.)
His techniques and theories still keep developing and now there are Lymph care, MRT (Muscle Release Technique), those selfcares, and 3 taping techniques (Insole, Point taping and Vector taping). He also created flexor system goods (socks, knees supporter, arm cover, shirts, bra and so on) to improve posture and reduce pain. Ear goods such as hoop, hook, cuff and clip were also developed from the technique released mastication muscles.
Sage Sato method (Sato shiki / 佐藤式 / さとう式) is sometimes called Zen Body Care.
Craniosacral therapy

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is developed from osteopathy. There are some different streams but we provide Upledger style.
CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, we release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
Visceral manipulation

Visceral manipulation (VM) was developed from osteopathy. There are some different streams but we provide Barral style.
VM assists functional and structural imbalances throughout the body including musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive and lymphatic dysfunction. It evaluates and treats the dynamics of motion and suspension in relation to organs, membranes, fascia and ligaments. It also increases proprioceptive communication within the body, thereby revitalizing a person and relieving symptoms of pain, dysfunction, and poor posture.
VM encourages your own natural mechanisms to improve the functioning of your organs, dissipate the negative effects of stress, enhance mobility of the musculoskeletal system through the connective tissue attachments, and influence general metabolism.
About me

Aya became qualified remedial massage therapist and aromatherapist in 2009. After graduating college, she learnt reflexology, Japanese body massage - seitai (there are many streams but the technique she learnt was similar to shiatsu and focuses on more musculoskeletal system like Australian remedial massage.) and many other manual therapies.
Same as most of people are experiencing, she had suffered from shoulder, neck and back pains, numbness of arms and fingers, radiating pain in leg, swollen legs and feet and so on for many many years. While she practiced those ordinal manual therapies and kept studying, she gradually started to question against firm pressure technique and theories which are still believed by most of practitioners and general people and what is the best for the clients and herself? After she practiced for 9 years, she met Sage Sato method in the end of 2015. It finally made her clear all the doubts.
The problems weren't because of lack of stretches, strength, exercises and massages. Lower back pain wasn't lack of stretching back and weak core or abdominal muscles. Problem of glutes pain wasn't in gluteal muscles. The cause of shoulder and back pains weren't in shoulder and back.
She was also surprised that the very very very light and gentle techniques release tight muscles easily and quickly without harm both client and therapist's bodies.
Since then she hasn't felt "I need massage now!" although she couldn't bear without having massages, chiropractic etc. She also saw that many massage practitioners gave up because of pain and changed their career. Therefore she has been introducing Sage's wonderful techniques to not only Japanese but also Australian and people live in Australia.
To understand more Sage's theories, she learnt Craniosacral therapy and Visceral manipulation. All have different theories, however, because there are similarities, she combines those techniques in her practice.
Through her over 10 years practice, she has felt that mental issues - mental stress, emotion, thinking pattern etc, memories of surgeries and injuries and internal issues such as organs are also associated with pains in musculoskeletal system. From the point of view, Sage Sato method, Craniosacral therapy and Visceral manipulation would help, she believes.
